In March 2020 we published an open letter to set out the shortlist of policy options we are taking forward for detailed assessment. We are now publishing a further open letter to seek information about the costs to the industry of implementing our shortlisted options in four policy areas:
- Definition and choice of access rights for transmission and distribution
- Distribution Use of System (DUoS) charges
- Distribution connection charging boundary
- Transmission Network Use of System (TNUoS) charges
The open letter and its annexes detail the aspects we are seeking your input on. The data and evidence we will collect through this request for information will help us in developing our draft Impact Assessment. We are keen to take into account the impacts on all types of stakeholders, therefore we strongly encourage responses from all market participants – even where only broad estimates or qualitative responses can be provided.
We have written separately to other key stakeholders to request information.
Please use the published template spreadsheet to input your responses, referring to any guidance in it that may be provided, then email it to FutureChargingandAccess@ofgem.gov.uk by 14 August 2020.
We will use the responses to inform our draft Impact Assessment and minded-to decision, on which we will consult later this year.
