Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) Tender Round Seven (TR7) is expected to start in late-November 2020. TR7 will enable bidders to compete to own the transmission assets of two offshore wind farm projects: Moray East and Triton Knoll.

- Jointly owned by Diamond Green Limited (33.4%), Moray Offshore Renewable Power Limited (33.3%), Delphis Holdings Limited (23.3%) and China Three Gorges Limited (10%)
- Located approximately 22km off the Caithness coastline in Northern Scotland
- 857MW capacity
- Jointly owned by RWE Renewables (59%), J-Power (25%) and Kansai (16%)
- Located within the Greater Wash, approximately 20 miles off the coast of Lincolnshire and 28 miles from the coast of north Norfolk
Together, we expect the OFTO transmission assets in TR7 to be worth in excess of £1.3 billion.
TR7 information event
On Friday 20 November 2020, Ofgem is holding a webinar information event starting at 9am. This event will be led by Akshay Kaul, Director – Networks and Jourdan Edwards, Head of the OFTO Regime, with presentations on the broader context for TR7 and the tender process. Each developer will then provide an overview of the investment opportunity of their respective projects. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A after the presentations. The whole event is expected to last up to 1 ¼ hours.
