This consultation invites comments on the proposed amendments to the Offshore Chemicals Regulations 2002 and the Offshore Petroleum Activities (Oil Pollution Prevention and Control) Regulations 2005 which address the issue of offshore oil and gas operators being unable to have relevant documents available for inspection at a UK address as a result of coronavirus restrictions.

The consultation will be of interest to:

  • the general public
  • representative bodies for the UK offshore oil and gas industry such as Oil and Gas UK
  • parties who are consulted on permit applications, such as the Environment Agency, the Natural Resources Body for Wales, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Marine Scotland and the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Science
